The middle of June is always a risky time for an outdoor wedding-but the risk paid off for Britt and Joe yesterday on their 90 degree day wedding! From the getting ready party in the girls room at the Hyatt in Lisle to the end of the reception in the Gingko room at the Morton Arboretum, the day could not have gone better.
The ceremony took place in the Hedge Garden at the Arboretum with an aisle that went nearly as far as the eye could see. Britt and her father looked like a scene out of a fairy tale as they progressed down the aisle to meet Joe and the rest of the wedding party. The guests were in awe as they said their vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss.
The Gingko Room was transformed into a picturesque scene for this happily-ever-after couple. Not even the photos do it justice. As Britt and Joe took the dance floor for the first time as a married couple, the entire crowd stopped and stared. They danced to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur, a very fitting song as they did let go of each other for even a moment all night. Guests flooded the dance floor shortly after to break it down to the musical styling of TJ the DJ from BackThird Entertainment. The night ended with a sparkle in everyone’s eye after having witnessed a fairy tale come to life.
It was my first big wedding that I got to assist with and I loved every minute. I learned that any problem can be solved in a matter of minutes as long as I keep my head on straight enough to review all possible solutions in a flash. It was a day where I was constantly on my toes and it provided me with experience that is irreplaceable. I am honored that I got to be a part of this magical wedding. Congratulations to Britt and Joe!
