Day of coordination is no easy task! Oftentimes, it is easy to assume that weddings just “happen.” It can seem as though there was only a few phone calls made within a few months of the wedding and everything just … Continue reading

I know, I know it is July and in the 70’s! But why not take a road down memory lane during our Chicago Winter Vortex to remember one of YNI’s favorite brides?! Yes, we love all of our brides but … Continue reading
Last month, YNI had the pleasure of putting together a truly Chicagoan wedding for Sarah and David. From the Chicago-themed table numbers, to the mini Stanley Cup, to their Chelsea Dagger entrance, this couple knew how to show off their roots. They even offered Chicago-style hot dogs as a late night snack!
Along with the Chicago theme, the bride used inspiration from Tiffany’s in her color scheme and place cards (which she made herself!). From the bridesmaid dresses to the chair sashes, Tiffany blue was seen in many aspects of the event. The wonderfully colorful flower arrangements, done by Aubrey from Forget Me Knot, perfectly complemented the Tiffany blue. See Sarah and David’s beautiful wedding in the pictures below!
Welcome back to Wedding Wednesday! For this week’s wedding, we’ll take a look at LaVina and Victor’s June affair at Chicago’s Zhou B Art Center. Both the ceremony and reception were held at this modern venue, showcasing an elegant blue and white color scheme. YNI worked with the bride’s brother to assemble all of the centerpieces on the day of the wedding, which perfectly complemented the modern feel of the event. The bride’s brother was a huge help for his sister’s wedding- he even surprised her with a beautiful wedding cake! LaVina was not expecting to have a cake at all, so this was an especially pleasant surprise.
Like you’ve seen in many of our past weddings,YNI set up a candy buffet full of treats for LaVina and Victor’s guests. We also contributed all of the paper goods, including the fun questionnaire place settings! The most impressive moment of the wedding, however, was how YNI handled a “perfect storm” of events: the bride and groom were both late to the ceremony! It was a challenge, but through some creative problem solving, everything worked out. Just another reason why hiring an event planner can help your wedding immensely!
