Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Reason #1:<\/span> The Control Freak\/Bridezilla says \u201cI want to be in complete control of my wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Who she is:<\/span><br \/>\nThis is the bride who has been planning her wedding since she was five years old. She hosted a Barbie &amp; Ken wedding every weekend, sometimes twice if it was a long weekend. She has known that her wedding colors are aubergine and Tuscan gold since she learned what color aubergine actually is. She would have booked all of her vendors before he put a ring on it, if it weren\u2019t for the fact that they needed to know her actual wedding date. We have all met her &#8211; she reads each.and.every.single bridal magazine that is published &#8211; even the weird European ones. She probably doesn&#8217;t know she&#8217;s a Bridezilla. Hint: Don&#8217;t EVER tell her that she is.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Here\u2019s what I have to say to her:<\/span><br \/>\nFirst off: Congratulations! I am so excited that you are finally arriving at this part of your life for which you have waited and planned over so many, many years! I\u2019m as excited as you are that you\u2019re getting married, really. I\u2019m serious. I want to see your binder. Every page of it. Send me the links to your Pinterest boards, I\u2019ll actually look at them, all 25 of them.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">About our services for her:<\/span><br \/>\nWe are not about control. We are about support. We don\u2019t approach our clients or fellow vendors as though we are in charge of everything. I\u2019m not trying to be your DJ or drive your limo bus around town.\u00a0 I don\u2019t even think I have the right kind of driver\u2019s license for that, honestly.<\/p>\n<p>We look at your wedding as though all of your vendors are a team, working on behalf of the bride &amp; groom to help make sure you get the day you dreamed of for your whole life, the day you have spent forever planning and the day you just might be paying for yourself. But let\u2019s be honest, the best teams have coaches, sometimes whole TEAMS of coaches. All we want to do is make your vision come to life by working with you and the vendors you have chosen to accomplish what you have planned&#8230;not trying to change it in the process. Pinky promise.<\/p>\n<p>One of the best things I ever heard a bridal client say when I asked her why she wanted to work with us is, \u201cYou don\u2019t know what you don\u2019t know!\u201d Goodness if that ain\u2019t the truth! Even a rigorous &amp; thorough education with every Martha Stewart Weddings magazine can&#8217;t teach you experience. The best way to account for that is to get someone you trust on your team who knows what you don\u2019t know. That\u2019s me. I can help make your wedding better without turning it into <em>my<\/em> wedding. Yup, I\u2019m that good.<\/p>\n<p>If you are this bride, be careful not to discount the idea of a planner or coordinator offhand. It&#8217;s about finding the right person for you, and the\u00a0 right amount of help &amp; support from that person. I know &#8220;ain&#8217;t&#8221; isn&#8217;t a word. I actually have quite a thorough grasp on English vocabulary, grammar and structure. Yet I am also a firm believer that sometimes &#8220;ain&#8217;t&#8221; is the right word, even if it&#8217;s wrong.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">p.p.s.
